Question for anyone out there who knows. In a prime reciprocal magic square, what does "Base" mean when talking about the "prime in a base"? If you know the answer to this question and would be willing to share your knowledge, please contact me at john.mitchell@saturnset.com. no i dont think ya'll r smart!!!!!!!!!
- I am _assuming_ that they show that pattern using a non-base 10 numbering system. For example, binary is base 2. While knowledge of binary is fairly common, few people realize that other bases can be used to represent numbers to a degree of precision higher then one unit, such as is found in 1.011010... (a rough approximation of sqrt(2) in base binary). 68.62.174.27 22:48, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I, personally would like to see the reference citations for this article... And a Number-Theoretical explanation for why this works. MathArtSPD (talk) 21:10, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
