iCal links on this page need redirecting to iCalendar when they're about the media type. I don't have time to do it so just flagging. There are occasional intended references to Apple's iCalendar so a global find-replace might not work. PaulSutherland (talk) 14:15, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unhelpful

[edit]

I came to this article hoping for some information of practical use in choosing collaborative software. Specifically, I wanted to point a friend to a useful reference that they could use to support a major planned project.

But despite the obvious amount of effort already put in by editors, I fear that the article is not particularly helpful. In its current state, I couldn't recommend that my friend use this article for more than a starting-point for their own research. Do we really want an interested reader to have to wade through literally dozens of different options, follow the links to relevant articles – maybe also to external references – and then weigh up alternatives? True, there are some comparison tables, but can 47 of them all be notable? Especially when, according to the Stable Release Date data, 17 of these releases are over 7 years old! This list is drowning in data, not inspired by information :-( .

So, how can we:

  1. make the article more informative?
  2. ensure that its information is current?
  3. help readers act on the information?

Possible to add the below information to the "Collaborative software" table?

Software Description
Stack Overflow for Teams organizes and shares knowledge within a company

Thank you!

It neither has a standalone article nor is it mentioned on Stack Overflow's main article. I'd therefore say it's not notable enough to mention here. – Thjarkur (talk) 08:33, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. This article lists software that already has an article. An article about the developer is not the same thing. - MrOllie (talk) 14:14, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This alert was issued in 2016. It's a long time ago, so I think it's a statute of limitations. In addition, since the content of the article is rich and the effect of referencing by others is high, we think that the warning is inappropriate. Mocha c jp (talk) 03:08, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
