Taylor or Davis
[edit]Did Sarah Knox Taylor marry Davis? If so, did she take his name? If she took his name, why is the article not under her married name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.139.123.126 (talk) 19:14, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- They were married such a short time that she was probably not generally referred to by her married name.Parkwells (talk) 14:32, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Dates
[edit]Her birthdate is given as March 6, 1814.
A statement is made in the article, without citation, that March 6, 2013 was designated as a day in her honor in Prairie du Chien. I have been unable to find any verification of this, but since that's the 199th anniversary of her birth - and such occasions are usually marked on even dates (such as the 200th anniversary), I have doubts whether the uncredited statement is 100% accurate.
