Misleading info
[edit]The article opener states that the Code “does not prescribe any penalties for failure to follow the guidelines”, but in fact section §3 of the Code prescribes that a violator of this section “shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100 or by imprisonment for not more than thirty days, or both, in the discretion of the court.” 2600:1008:B13B:3891:3D78:1CD5:7956:9A14 (talk) 02:19, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
Dipping the flag...or not
[edit]There was a situation comparatively recently (say, 21st century) at which many countries were present and dipped their flags to honor someone who had died recently. I don't remember the circumstances but it would provide a more recent example of not dipping the flag. It might have been at the beginning of Olympic Games or a similar event I had seen on television. I recall the person who had died was noted worldwide. My first thought was Pope John Paul II but I can't find anything. Any ideas? Humpster (talk) 05:18, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
Link evaporation.
[edit]The external link to the documentary photographic exhibit, Tattered: Investigation of an American Icon, is gone. This link describes the exhibit as posted in a Vermont arts blog, [1]https://vermontartzine.blogspot.com/2012/05/press-release-seth-butler-at-seminary.html
