"Ernst Ludwig was himself a homosexual". Some people says that it is not true, that was his ex-wife who spread the rumor.

These people are stupid : how could a wife tell such things if it's not true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.218.29.137 (talk) 08:48, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

His wife didn't like him, she loved another man, she wanted a divroce, so... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.196.105.138 (talk) 21:59, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's stupid : it is proven he was homosexual. 90.3.24.82 (talk) 03:50, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

Ernest Louis, Grand Duke of Hesse → Ernest Ludwig, Grand Duke of Hesse – He is far more well known as Ern(e)st Ludwig. In most any royalty book that has not been completely Anglicized, he is know as Ern(e)st Ludwig, never as Ern(e)st Louis. Morhange 22:04, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not moved. —Nightstallion (?) 09:42, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is beyond stupid. ERNST LUDWIG was his name. That's how it's spelt on the bloody coins. [1] ClearBreeze (talk) 14:48, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In a small town like Darmstadt, it was impossible to keep secrets. Rumours spread from the small court to military circles, and citizens of the grand duchy. ... It was said, that he was visiting a lady in the town, and that he also showed a marked fondness for male kitchen hands and stable boys.
