Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.
The first step of the reactions shows benzylamine reacting with glyoxal and not presumably with acetic anhydride. I don't know if DMF is used as a solvent (possibly) but acetonitrile is shown.
