This is a rare word, I have never heard of it outside Wikipedia. See also discussion in Talk:Asperger's syndrome. (Actually you discussed there...)

Words that tell the gender of an Asperger have been opposed in some circles because there are the same criteria for both male and female Aspergers. It would make an artificial distinction. There is also possibility for feminist critique (Critique on rare words? Yup, you can have such.) because both aspies (male) and aspiettes are together called aspies, which makes a male aspie a standard. The standard is even emphasized, since aspiette is derived from aspie. And it is gender binary etc. But this is predictable critique, and the word is so rare that you can't have an article on it. Move it to Wiktionary and mark it there as a rare word, too. -Hapsiainen 11:29, Jun 1, 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I am the inventor of the word Aspiette. Just because my word isn't popular yet, it doesn't mean you can change the original definition that I made of it! Geez - since when you do have the control over the word that I invented? It was, after all, a natural progression from the nickname Aspie to adding the 'ette' onto the end of it. If that doesn't sound like a logical step to invent a new word, then I really really don't know what is! From Kitkatsavvy - the inventor of Aspiette (as seen in #chatautism at irc.chatautism.com)... I would still stick by my origional statement on 19 Apr 2005 that as you have stated this is a definition and I see little means by which this can be expanded, and has not been in the 2 months in which it has existed so therefore cannot be defined as a stub article. This therefore is not actually content which should be in wikipedia as stated 1.2 Wikipedia is not a dictionary MttJocy 11:19, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing as the word Aspie (Gender non-specfic) as any given person with Aspergere's Syndrome or related HFA diagnosis or symptoms (male or female) was first used by Damon Matthew Wise, any misconstrued female only version thereof derived must refer to the original creation of the word and its context, and not solely to a derivation, without reference to the original: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Aspies
