Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! - BanyanTree 22:43, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
- Hi, Dave. Might I advise you to not spill your energy in a fruitless discussion? Two weeks ago, after a warning on RC Patrol about the insertion of non-mainstream theories by this user, about five editors have tried to talk with him about Wikipedia's policies and his editing pattern; in most cases he simply blanked the challenges (check out the history of his talk page), in other cases he only gave evasive answers. See also here. Subsequently, several editors have taken it upon themselves to fact-check this users contributions and to pull out any unsubstantiated theories — see here. You're welcome to help. — mark ✎ 09:18, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
