TONE: The article gives advice, contrary to the tone of a regular encyclopedia. (unsigned)
I'll say - it does seem to be an advertorial. Noirdame 7 July 2005 21:04 (UTC)
Lawsuits
[edit]Would it be possible to know more about the lawsuits (court orders and so on)? Can anybody help? --Edcolins 15:19, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
i would also like to know, i personally accidently started my machine open and not only could it NOT be sealed, it sprayed boiling water all over me! --75.33.238.230 (talk) 14:57, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Dubious statement
[edit]I inserted the "dubious" tag because this looks dodgy:
- "After a Belgian lawsuit, the judge declared the idea of patenting anything concerning coffee void"
Can anybody provide exact quotes from the court order? Thanks. --Edcolins 15:26, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
- I have provided what I believe to be a summary of the ruling. Hope that helps :-) (by Anonymous user)
- Thanks a lot. Is there an online English version of the ruling? Or at least an online version of the European patent? It would be nice to cite sources. --Edcolins 20:56, August 6, 2005 (UTC)
- Sources would be needed especially for this rumour-type information: "Philips and Douwe Egberts reportedly want to challenge the ruling in an international court". --Edcolins 21:00, August 6, 2005 (UTC)
Blends added
[edit]We added yesterday some more Blends We thought it would be interested that there are more blends sold. Is this so OK? Working first time on Wikipedia
Thomas
- Yes, it is alright! Thanks. But please could you add a source to indicate where the information is coming from (for instance a URL). --Edcolins 12:09, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
European patent
[edit]According to [1] and [2], the European Patent Office confirmed Senseo's patent for pad and pad holder (or their combination, it's not quite clear) in January 2005 on the request of a Dutch judge. It is not quite clear to me how the lawsuit continued and what it means for Senseo in the European market. regards, High on a tree 06:08, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
commerical Adam Curry link
[edit]The addition of the "As Heard on Adam Curry's Daily Source Code Podcast" seems blatantly commercial SPAM. It has NOTHING to do with the Senseo. It is a link to an unrelated commercial web site.
Citing sources
[edit]Until sources are cited, I think the tag {{cleanup-verify}} should stay there. It is very difficult to verify what is in the article, especially in the "Patent matters" section. --Edcolins 19:53, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Pad holder and pads for making tea
[edit]In the netherlands Pickwick offers a special pad holder for the Senseo machine to use with their tea pads.

Citing sources (II)
[edit]Please cite your sources for
- "A new lawsuit has been started at the court of last resort in the Belgian legal system, the Hof van Cassatie (Dutch), or Cour de cassation (French)."
Is this reliable? --Edcolins 15:47, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I removed this part:
- A new lawsuit has been started at the court of last resort in the Belgian legal system, the Hof van Cassatie (Dutch), or Cour de cassation (French). This places all other judgments on hold, allowing the non-patent holders to produce pods.
until reliable sources are provided. --Edcolins 12:42, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Removed sentence
[edit]What does this mean?
- Senseo is actually a brand name for the corporation, but the brand name is usually linked with the coffee machine.
Can somebody provide a somewhat clearer explanation? I removed the sentence until then. Thanks. --Edcolins 12:48, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Info for coffee pods / coffee pads?
[edit]I am interested in the 'pads' themselves, for example, which brands are available and what is the ingredients? Having bought some pads in Germany, I found that they produce an 'espresso-like' foam which is clearly not '100% Arabic Coffee' as the packet suggests. Can we create a Coffee pad or Coffee pod article to answer these questions? Cheers --Dan|(talk) 08:54, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Machine Status/U.S. Patent status There seem to be a number of compatible machines on the market, at least in U.S.--does anyone know whether they are covered by licenses, or avoid patent issues other ways? Has there been U.S. litigation?70.107.58.114 01:04, 2 December 2007 (UTC)P. Heymont
