Micromouse and A*
[edit]hi
I am curious. In the revision to the micromouse entry that you made on Oct 8th 2004, you state that the A* is one of the more popular search strategies.
It is my understanding that most mice have much simpler algorithms based on a straightforward flooding of the maze in the style of Lee-Moore.
I would be very interested in finding out about any mice that use A*

Thanks for uploading these images:
I notice they currently don't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know their copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release them under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks, Kbh3rd 03:10, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. By default when you upload an image to which you own the rights, you agree to license it under the terms of the Gnu Free Documention License. I think that that should meet your criteria, so I'll tag it that way.
- In the future, just add {{GFDL}} to the description page of any of your own images you that you upload. The verbiage on the upload page states that you give your consent to this license by the act of uploading, but without the tag, there's no way for the computer to "know" which images are under which license or which are indeed lacking a compatible license. It is important to be able to use the tags to automatically categorize and sort the images by license.
- Also, you should identify yourself as the creator or owner of the image rights, or identify the the original source, so that its provenance is known. You can do all this in the image description field of the upload page if you want – something like this will do:
- CadCam drawing of a widget by myself -- {{GFDL}}
- More comprehensive description pages are desireable, but that would cover the necessities. Thanks for contributing! And thanks again for replying on this matter. -- Kbh3rd 03:53, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Proposed merge of Telerobotics into Telepresence
[edit](It appears that you addended the merge tag.) I do not think this is a good idea as there are substantial differences between the concepts. This may be now a bit more clear with my recent edits to the Telerobotics section concerning Teleoperatation. Message my talk page if you care to comment. - Leonard G. 05:18, 22 September 2005 (UTC)\
- My response is on my User talk - I am interested in working with you on this - will be offline for some time, take your time to respond. Thanks, Leonard G. 23:26, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
Dendrograms and Computer Vision
[edit]Hi, I'm trying to bring some order to the Category:Computer vision page and notice that you (?) have linked the article on dendrogram to this category. I do not see any obvious relation between dendrograms and computer vision from the information presented in the article. Can you please describe this relation? --KYN 20:06, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- I might have done that... I certainly created some of those images. It was a while ago, and I don't remember. But i do remember talking about dendrograms in my computer vision class. They are just a way to visualize data clusters which are used in computer vision for image segmentaion. You can probably delete the reference to dendrogram, but i would include either data clustering or beef up Segmentation (image processing) to include these topics. - BAxelrod 03:08, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I will remove the link to the Computer Vision category for now. Currently, the articles and categories on computer vision and image processing are somewhat out of order and partially overlapping. If you want to link the dendrogram article back into either of these categories, please add some text which explains the relevance of the link. --KYN 09:28, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Markov decision process
[edit]Hello, I've removed the cleanup tag from Markov decision process; I believe you originally tagged it for cleanup in December 2005. Since then it has been expanded quite a bit... --Sabik 16:02, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
WikiProject Georgia Tech
[edit]A few dedicated individuals, myself included, are putting together a bid to host Wikimania on Georgia Tech's campus. This is an incredible opportunity, so any assistance that any of you would be able to provide will be greatly appreciated. Please read m:Wikimania 2008/Official requirements for bidding cities and m:Wikimania 2008/Judging criteria and contribute to the ongoing bid, located at m:Wikimania 2008/Bids/Atlanta. The deadline for bids is August 30, 2007, so we need to work and plan quickly. For those interested, there will be an IRC meeting to coordinate the bid tonight (Aug 23) at 7:00PM EST in #wikimania-atlanta on irc.freenode.com. If you can, it would be great if you could log on. Thanks for your help! :) —Disavian (talk/contribs) 17:15, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikimania 2008/Conference of the Americas
[edit]Hello, As you may or may not know, Alexandria, Egypt was selected to host Wikimania 2008 [1]. So as to prevent the hard work of the many Wikimedians involved in the Atlanta bid from going to waste, we have decided to host a conference for the Americas. This is in no way an attempt to compete with Wikimania or make a statement against Wikimania.
As one of the people signed up to help with the Wikimania Atlanta bid, we hope you will join us at the Wikimedia Conference of the Americas. We will be having a meeting tonight in IRC tonight (Oct 15) at 9:30PM in #cota-atlanta on irc.freenode.org to discuss the conference. For more information about IRC see [2].
For more information about the Wikimedia Conference of the Americas see http://www.cota-atlanta.org and our wiki http://www.cota-atlanta.org/wiki.
If you do not wish to receive further notices about the COTA please remove your name from our notify list. --Cspurrier 18:13, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
File:VC3.png missing description details
[edit]Just a little notification, when you reverted the vandalism on Robot Software, the vandal blanked the top of the article as well. I've fixed that problem, and you probably know this, but in the future, the (undo) button is generally the best way to revert rather than just removing the vandalism. Have a nice day, --Utopianfiat (talk) 20:50, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
