References
[edit]The Overview section has been wanting references for a year and a half. Since no one is able or willing to provide sources for any of the assertions in this section, I'm deleting the unsourced material. That happens to be the whole section. --Gotophilk (talk) 02:50, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Definition of AP
[edit]clarification wanted: what's "AP class"? Perhaps this is a term commonly used in America but not Australia.
Hollywood Interrupted
[edit]Given that most people outside the entertainment industry or the parts of Los Angeles influenced by it had not heard of Crossroads School prior to Hollywood Interrupted's release, that book deserves a mention in any article about Crossroads. I kept the reference NPOV - personally I'm surprised that the tabloids don't stake the place out as they'd find plenty of juicy material, but that observation does not belong in the article.
Electron Microscope
[edit]I recall reading a decade ago that Crossroads had an electron microscope. If we can find a reference for that it might be worth adding as an interesting fact. Does anyone know if it now has any similarly-unusual resources? -Will Beback 23:56, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
I believe that the school sold it, as no one was getting any use out of it. 132.162.211.198 20:40, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Notable Alumni
[edit]My only quibble with this entry is that we have a long list of "notable alumni" that are mostly minor celebrities immediately following the paragraph decrying the book and Vogue article's focusing on the celebrity angle of Crossroads. Someday this will be the perfect quotation. 22:12, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
In light of the growth of the "notable alumni" list, I removed the names that did not point to an actual Wikipedia article. I also removed the 17th century Scotsman Alexander Gordon. --Pontifex 16:29, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
There are recurring instances of names added to the "Notable Alumni" article which do not have an associated Wikipedia article and are therefore not notable. If you have alumni to add to this list, please ensure that they have a separate article in Wikipedia first. --Pontifex 00:46, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. -Will Beback · † · 00:58, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- I note that the Bree Olsen link goes to a redirect for a porn star who grew up in Indiana. Going to remove that one. MKV (talk) 21:55, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
NPOV discussion
[edit]This article seriously fails the NPOV test. It is filled with unverified (perhaps unverifiable) information and contains many weasel words. It reads like a publicity brochure; rather than an encyclopedia entry. This article is in dire need of a comprehensive overhaul. (unsigned, undated)
If anyone would like to contest the NPOV status of this article, please specify the disputed text and sign your post. Pontifex 22:46, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
The link from Josh Evans goes to some football player- not the josh evans that actually attended the school. the one that went to xrds is the son of Robert Evans. i am too lazy to go find the info and create a link but i thought someone who cared could fix it:) 76.169.42.35 21:50, 2 June 2007 (UTC)an unnotable alum
This article does indeed fail the NPOV test big time. It's as if it was written by the owners of the school. It's sort of nauseating to read actually.
Crossfire Award Issue
[edit]I removed the sentence saying a student's 2004 Crossfire article won a Columbia Scholastic Press Assocation award in 2004. The CSPA appears to give Gold Circle awards for individual articles, but in trying to find the name of the student and article on the http://cspa.columbia.edu/ site, I found a few awards for 2004 but none with titles appearing to be an interview with the authors as alleged. I'm sure someone can provide a source -- if so, we'll actually have the first sourced information on this entry.ycartreel 22:59, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Fight song lyrics
[edit]Please stop adding in the lyrics to the fight song. Refer here: [1] for more information about why these are not suitable for inclusion. Thanks. Somno (talk) 02:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
