I believe this format was created in Sweden under the name Fame Factory. I'm not 100% sure it's the same show, so I'm not going to add it to the article, but it sure sounds like it.
---
Well...In a way it is the same, the backbone format was something that was spread in various countries with different names.for example
- 'Fame Academy' was the UK version,
- In Belgium, the Netherlands and France there was 'Star Academy',
- In Argentina it was 'Operacion Triunfo',
- the latest in the line is the South African version: 'Project Fame'
All of them including the Swedish 'Fame Factory' were produced by one company: Endemol I only don't know in which country was the first that started it all...
The format was developed in Spain, and Operacion Triunfo is the original version (although the French version actually broadcast first)
Comic Relief Does Fame Academy (2007)
[edit]I believe that at the current rate in which the Comic Relief Does Fame Academy (2007) section is growing it should be eventually given its own article page (or at least one to share with the other two comic relief FAs). This is simply because the amount of information will soon outweigh info on the original FA series. Mankind 2k 20:14, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Fame Academy. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20060302001453/http://www.bbc.co.uk:80/newtalent/music/fameacademybursary/ to http://www.bbc.co.uk/newtalent/music/fameacademybursary/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
