Shouldn't university-affiliated colleges be named with their parent organisation (like King's College, Cambridge)? I know that the Yale college system is different to the Oxbridge one but shouldn't there still be a distinction between independent and subordinate units?
I guess there's nothing wrong with Saybrook College becuase there's no other Saybrook College on Wikipedia at the moment. This is just my opinion btw, any ideas anyone?

Even if it were a different page, "Saybrook College" would still redirect, so there would be no point. CoolGuy 01:24, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]Do not merge - The Saybrook College Orchestra has nothing to do with Saybrook College other than the name. CoolGuy 07:41, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Absolutely agree on that one. Motorneuron 17:18, 1 February 2006 (UTC)motorneuron
Griffindor Connection
[edit]Can we remove the claim that some students believe Saybrook most resembles Griffindor? I'm looking for some agreement before I remove it entirely. --Dustingc 16:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
I'll go ahead and remove it. If there are some specific aspects of Saybrook that line up closely with described (in the books) or shown (in the movies) aspects of Griffindor, then that still probably wouldn't be worthy of inclusion! Msheskin 19:09, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Notable Alumni
[edit]Could someone please add Victor K. Kiam, class of '47N (and with his own wikipedia page), to the list of notable alumni? I'd do it myself if I knew how to get the links right. DMTate (talk) 16:26, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Undiscussed move of residential college articles
[edit]Bill Grant has moved the pages for each of the 14 Yale College residential colleges to new pages, each named "[College Name], Yale". He has done so apparently without discussion—at least without discussion on the Talk pages of Residential colleges of Yale University, Yale College, Yale University, or Ezra Stiles College. I don't think these moves are necessary, nor that "College Name, Yale" would necessarily be the best name if they were. So I've reverted the move, pending discussion at Residential colleges of Yale University. PRRfan (talk) 14:37, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
