To the anonymous editor
[edit](I am restoring this as it was deleted by anonymous User:207.127.40.48 [1]):
Hi, could you please get yourself an official Wikipedia User name and page so that people can communicate with you and co-ordinate work on this (and other) article/s. You are also adding far too much detail, which will need serious editing at some point. You obviously have good "inside info", but Wikipedia is NOT about being a "platform" to critique and "screw" your subjects. If your attitude of not liking the yeshiva comes through then you are in violation of Wikipedia's policy of NPOV (Neutral Point of View). Thanks, and hoping to hear from you as a "normal" Wikipedia user. IZAK 03:16, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
To Izak
[edit]I am inexperienced Wikipedia user who is familiarizing myself with this encyclopedia with this article. As one the most, if not the most, dynamic yeshiva in the US, RSA is deserving of comprehensive treatment and analysis which would help Orthodoxy understand itself. Please let me know how I can contact you to receive more information on how to use Wikipedia, and clarify my intentions herein. My Wikipedia name is econapl.
BTW - I do not believe that any of the information here misrepresents RSA's viewpoint. I am in a position to know - I happen to be an adherent. Please do not edit the article, as several of your changes have made the article substantively inaccurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Econapl (talk • contribs) 7/Dec/04
Response by IZAK
[edit]Shalom Aleichem: Dear User:econapl, I appreciate your predicament. You can contact me on my Wikipedia Talk page at User talk:IZAK.
- You must stick to the name you have chosen, thus your name is User:Econapl and not "econapl". I had to track you down by looking at the "History" page of this article and I saw that you created the name "Econaple" (with an "E").'
- One rule of Wikipedia is that you NEVER delete or edit the comments placed on the TALK (i.e. the "Discussion") pages by anyone.
- It is the body of articles that may be edited by anyone who can contribute, but what is written on a Talk/Discussion page may not be deleted or edited by another person.
- You are giving far too much detail for the Chofetz Chaim yeshiva article.
- I also sense a certain "hostility" to the yeshiva on your part which makes it seem that you have your own "axe to grind" (making it a "Point of View" POV) hence you are violating another Wikipedia rule which is to write from a "Neutral Point of View" (NPOV).
- I have left you a standard welcome message with some guidleines on your own user Talk page at User talk:Econapl#Welcome!.
- Please also look at an feel free to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Judaism.
- Please sign all your comments on the Talk pages with four tildes ~~~~ this will atomatically give your Wikipedia User name of Econaple, time and date.
- If you disagree with another editors edits to an article, the place to do so is on this page and list the points and they can be discussed openly, but you cannot issue a "cease and desist" type of "order" because you feel more "qualified" to write on a topic.
- You are in no position to judge another Wikipedia editors knowledge and insights until you discuss it with them on the Talk pages of articles or on the other Talk pages.
- You can also reach me via Email on my user page, see "E-mail this user" on the "tool box" on the left hand side of any user's home page. Wikipedia will forward the Email. Once I have your Email address we can use regular Email if you prefer.
- Best wishes and I look forward to sharing the writing of articles with you. IZAK 02:42, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Mea Culpa to Interested Parties
[edit]I am sorry for temporarily leaving an unfinished portion of the RSA article up here. I was initially motivated to write this article when I saw the MTY article (to which I have contributed, including the "Financial Information" section). I think that most readers would agree that the Internet is a wonderful place to post information on interesting but off-beat, and even obscure, subjects.
However, driven by Izak's thought-provoking comments, I read Wikipedia's own guidelines, viewable at Wikipedia, which clearly exclude from its domain the unverifiable analysis I wanted to provide. Therefore, I will be deleting almost all of my contributions to this article.
I thank Wikipedia and its readers for tolerating me until now, and Izak for making me aware of my improper behavior.

- Econapl: I fear you have misunderstood my intentions. At NO POINT do I say that you must "stop" your good work on Wikipedia or that you are "guilty" of "improper behavior" (what IS that?). My purpose was to ease you into the "world" of how Wikipedia articles are created, written and nurtured (and yes, disputed). I encourage you to keep on going, don't give up so easily! One more significant point about RSA
[edit]Personally, I really enjoyed your defining what makes RSA unique in its learning style. But you neglected to mention the Yeshiva's involvement in kiruv and outreach, and the continuing blossoming of "affiliates". That's a big part of what makes the Chofetz Chaim stand out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.185.1.100 (talk) 14:35, 6/Dec/05
Proposed move
[edit]BS"D
I moved the Ner page w/o proposing it to see if I got a reaction. Now, w/ the more mefursom yeshiva, all bight smaller Yeshiva, I want a consensus. Proposal to move the Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim: Rabbinical Seminary of America to Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim or Rabbinical Seminary of America.
Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim:

Rabbinical Seminary of America:
P.S. I went ahead and moved the page for lack of response — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shaul avrom (talk • contribs) 20:37, 11/May/07
To Anonymous from Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim
[edit]If you want to argue that the Radun Yeshiva listing should be renamed Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim, and this page renamed RSA, I might agree -- it's certainly worth taking to a vote. What you're doing now is a POV violation and vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yudel (talk • contribs) 02:33, August 28, 2007 (UTC)

Alumni
[edit]Maybe we could get a list of prominent alumni going like on the Ner Yisroel article. Nerguy (talk) 17:44, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
WITS
[edit]Can I hear opinions if there is justification to start an article about WITS? A few sources:

Proposed move
[edit]I propose moving this back to Chafetz Chaim Yeshiva/Yeshivas Chafetz Chaim. While it's not the legal name, it is the most COMMONMAME and as such is most often what a user will search for. Sir Joseph (talk) 17:37, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Characteristics
[edit]This section is much too long and detailed for an encyclopedia. And of little interest to the public. Compare to other institutions. 2A0D:6FC2:43D0:9200:D09E:3043:1ADC:CEA5 (talk) 13:22, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
