Tilde vs. Macron
[edit]I propose that the page be ruled that the marks for missing "m", "n", "en", &c, and other nasal elements be marked by the ~, which is truly a suprascript n/m (as is an artifact in Spanish, Portuguese and Cursive Fraktur,) and take that is now used as ~ to represent a general abbreviation mark and replace it with a macron or an overline (except for certain characters which already have distinctive markings (ł or l with caron for l, eth for d, and yogh for -et -que.) I also want to ask if it is appropriate to use characters from Unicode block Latin-Extended-D, which is not visible in the out-of-date iOS for iPad and iPhone. 97.67.246.85 (talk) 14:06, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
