POV and misinformation about Shasta, of all things. I'm drinking some lemon-lime Shasta right now, it's not an "80s drink." You can buy it in 3 litre bottles at K-Mart, and as far as sodas go, it's mostly just another brand. - RedWordSmith 04:54, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
Changing my recommendation to a weak keep, as it's been completely rewritten. I'm not greatly enamored of the current article, but at least its content is accurate now. - RedWordSmith 18:49, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
- I don't think it should be deleted, just edited. Shasta is a major soda in parts of the US. Phil179 04:53, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
- Go ahead and edit it. The author, user:24.184.44.228, is a troll -- see his/her other contributions. Hoary 05:01, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Delete if it doesn't get cleaned up. DCEdwards1966 05:54, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)Changed to Keep after the rewrite. DCEdwards1966 22:00, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
- Weak Delete if not cleaned or if reverted by troll, but it's better now. There is a bit to say about Shasta, as it was the first "generic" cola/knock-off brand to make any dent in the US. While now many supermarkets sell their own brands of knock-off drinks, many are actually still Shasta, and Shasta was the first. If 2L of Coke cost $1.09, Shasta would cost $0.90. (All of that would need verification, a link to their website, a link to fan appreciation pages, etc.) Geogre 15:40, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I'll have to concur with Radman. The article is definitely worth keeping, but needs some cleaning up and fleshing out. --BDD
- Keep but cleanup is definitely needed. Why is this even being nominated? Because it has POV? Honestly, people. Mike H 16:58, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
- Did you see the version I nominated? "Shasta, an 80's drink that, according to Dr. Alien!, the greatest movie of all time, will give you enhanced sexual and combat prowess...." And that was the meat of it! - RedWordSmith 18:49, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. It's a valid topic for an article, and the current article isn't so much a bad article as in dire need of more content. [[User:Livajo|力伟|☺]] 16:59, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. The stuff's been a part of American popular culture for at least forty years. May need cleanup. Wyss 00:22, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Well-known brands, companies, etc. are valid. [[User:Neutrality|Neutrality/talk]] 00:23, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Valid topic. Could use more content, though. --Edeans 01:46, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. As valid as Coca Cola and Pepsi. --MPerel 19:49, Dec 9, 2004 (UTC)
