Cover Update
[edit]That cover could do with a little update, it's a bit unclear and all. Darksteel 14:19, 15 September 2006 (UTC)==
Genre
[edit]dude, this band and album are strongly influenced by grindcore, this album definutely deserves a grindcore label if anything carcass is closer to grindcore than death metal
- This particular album by them (as well as Swansong which followed it) is not grindcore in the slightest. It's usually considered melodic death metal (though, to my ears, it does resemble somewhat Coma of Souls-era Kreator). I wouldn't even call the previous album, Necroticism, a grindcore album, it's thrash-influenced death metal. Only Reek of Putrefaction and Symphonies of Sickness are grindcore, and even then, Symphonies of Sickness is just as much death metal as it is grind.--Vlad the Impaler (talk) 07:24, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
