Allied armies?
[edit]in what way are the Allied Armies in Italy an army group, or for that matter, any different from the 15th Army Group? (that was me, ugen64)
- Allied Armies in Italy and 15th Army Group commanded the Allied formations in Italy at different times. If you look at the transition from Wilson to Alexander as SACMED, then you will see that Allied Armies in Italy and 15th Army Group were different. The former was organised along British lines and the latter along American lines; quite different. Alexander took many of his staff from Allied Armies in Italy to Allied Forces Headquarters.

- Ah, I see (actually I didn't research, I'll trust your word). Then I remove my objections... of course, those weren't very substantial, anyhow. ugen64 02:53, Dec 11, 2003 (UTC)
25AG?
[edit]Excuse me, but was there a 25AG in NW Europe? The Operation Plunder article I just wrote indicates there was one. Paul, in Saudi
